My cousin, who created this site and made every post for a few years, must be some kind of idiot for not having HOOK posted already. I’m going to give him a pass though because I didn’t think about it until right now when I was deep in an IMDB session checking out what Charlie Korsmo got into after acting (went to MIT, worked in missile defense, went to Yale, is now a lawyer).

Matthew McConaughey as David Wooderson
Matthew McConaughey gets a pretty bad rap for his acting, because he’s pretty bad at it and he’s in mostly garbage movies. However, he managed to squeak out a nice performance in the 1993 “coming of age film*” Dazed and Confused.
*Wikipedia describes a movie that spanned one day as a coming of age film.
Friday Night Movie Recommendation: La Moustache
If you’re looking for plans on this blisteringly hot Friday night, why not snuggle up on the couch in the cool AC and watch the 2005 French film La Moustache. It’s about a man who shaves his steesh after 15 years, to find that no one notices it’s gone. It’s billed as a Drama/Mystery/Thriller but it sounds like a horror movies to me.
Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck often gets a lot of shit for his acting skills, and it probably stems from movies like Glory Daze. I caught five minutes of this yesterday and only kept it on because I was trying to identify Sam Rockwell. He was also in Pearl Harbor, as we all know is unwatchable.
But look, he’s been in a few good movies. And who am I to say what is a good movie anyway. I own Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. No joke. I can go home and watch it right now. So never listen to anything I say about movies again.
Henry Hill – Inspiration for Goodfellas
Robert Morse
After a pretty depressing day of posts yesterday, I’m sticking to some safe people who I have no problems with. Robert is most famous for being in musicals I’ve never seen. He plays Bertram “Bert” Cooper in Mad Men, which I find to be a delightful show. Finally, his wikipedia page doesn’t have a “crimes committed” section. He’s aces in my book.
