Marc Maron and Dave Foley

Marc Maron and Dave Foley Mustache

Comedian and podcaster Marc Maron has a new show on Friday nights on IFC called Maron that has been on a for a few weeks. I was able to catch up on it this weekend and to my delight got to see both Maron and fellow comedian Dave Foley with a couple of nice steeshes.

Maron, much like Louis C.K.’s Louie, follows a fictionalized Maron. Even though it’s not as good as the old shows on the TGIF lineup, it pretty good entertainment for a Friday night show.

David Krumholtz – The Cereal King

David Krumholtz Mustache

David Krumholtz has appeared in 69 movies and tv shows since his debut in the 1993 Michael J. Fox movie Life With Mikey. Among other things, he was in The Santa Clause, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, and was even the lead in the show Numb3rs that lasted 6 seasons on CBS. Still, I remember him as Barry Corman “The Cereal King” from his first role. Sure he was kind of a jerk, but you have to respect any child that wears a scarf.

Mad (Steesh)Men – Charlie Hofheimer

Charlie Hofheimer Mustache Mad Men

Charlie Hofheimer plays Peggy Olsen’s boyfriend, Abe Drexler on Mad Men. He is a journalist/writer who basically just lives off Peggy. She just bought an apartment and he’s doing “some light remodeling.” I would do that for a free place to live. Hell, I had to do some light remodeling when I moved into my current apartment, like removing the door knob from my closet door and putting it on my roommate’s bedroom door because it was missing a knob. I wonder what kind of knob problems Abe is dealing with?

Mad (Steesh)Men – Ben Feldman

Ben Feldman Mustache Mad Men

Ben Feldman plays Michael Ginsberg on AMC’s Mad Men. Season 6 of Mad Men takes place in 1968 and as far as I can tell there was a Mustache Boom that year. Also it doesn’t really seem like people had to worry about matching their clothes, as evidence in the above picture. In the last episode a guy was wearing a sweater-turtleneck with a cardigan sweater over it. The double sweater is almost impossible to get away with these days.

What If They Grew A Steesh: Christina Hendricks

As I uploaded this picture I had a realization of just how weird the whole thing is. Today is Christina Hendricks’ birthday so I photoshopped a mustache on her?! Holy smokes! I mean I think I did a pretty good job and if she ever saw this there’d be a small chance she wouldn’t be creeped out, but in general this is the behavior of a full-on weirdo.

Oh, you’re a weirdo, too? Check out more What If They Grew A Steesh posts!

25 More Days ‘Til Fresh Tobias Funke Steesh

Tobias Funke Mustache Netflix Ad

It once felt like it would never get here, but in reality time is just going at the same rate for ever so only a dummy would think that it would never get here. Anyway, we’ll get us some fresh Tobias coming our way on May 26th.

Enjoy Your Weekend – Bowling Edition

Hey everyone, it’s the weekend! Please enjoy it so much.

Tomorrow I’ll go bowling. I trows ’em like Ron:

Sure this is an exact copy of a post from last year, but I only bowl like twice a year so get off my back.

RIP Allan Arbus – M(ust)*A*S*H

Allan Arbus Mustache M.A.S.H

Allan Arbus was a photography and actor, best known for playing Major Sidney Freedman on M*A*S*H. The New York Times described his character by saying, “He treated wounds of the psyche much as Capt. Hawkeye Pierce treated surgery patients: with a never-ending string of zingers.” He’s probably glad he was unable to read that. Rest in peace and rest in steesh.

Mr. Feeny Joins Girl Meets World Pilot

Mr Feeny 2013

This is the first thing I’ve felt compelled to post in a while. William Daniels will reportedly be a part of the Girl Meets World pilot. No word yet if that means Mr. Feeny will be on the much-anticipated reprise of Boy Meets World, but we can all say some prayers. I’d like to imagine that William saw all the hype about the new show and simply faxed, “I’m back” to Michael Jacobs.

Kenan Thompson As Steve Harvey

Kenan Thompson Mustache Steve Harvey

Kenan Thompson has been on SNL since 1993 2003. In his youth, he was in a couple of the best movies of the 90’s, Heavyweights and Mighty Ducks 2. Kenan was a cast member on The Steve Harvey Show which might explain why he does a decent impression of Harvey.

Here is the skit from this weekend where he helps a man get over his phobia of horses while explaining to people that his phobia is falling asleep and having his mustache choke him to death.

Community Gives Me A Happy Rash (What If They Grew A Steesh)

Jim Rash Mustache Dean Pelton Community

First, I apologize for the title of this post. It’s gross in that rashes are gross and also just a horrible joke. Not even close to funny. So, I’M SORRY.

Next, I am really starting to get excited about seeing Jim Rash as Dean Pelton tonight. He is really funny and makes me feel uncomfortable, which I think is a good thing because I’ve heard a lot of girl say the same thing about me.

I See A Bunch Of People Who Love You Like Crazy

Jeff Vanvonderen Mustache

Since 2005, Intervention has helped many drug and alcohol addicts get over their addiction, as well as helped me get over a few rough weekends, especially in college. Going out three nights in a row didn’t look so bad compared to a woman doing vodka shooters at 9am and yelling about her babies (Sylvia).

Jeff Vanvonderen is my favorite Interventionist on the show. He is no nonsense. He is also not without fault as he had a brief relapse of his own in 2008. He quickly got back on the wagon and continues to help people get their lives on track and more importantly he never lost his mustache.

What If They Grew A Steesh: Oprah Winfrey

Today is Oprah’s birthday. She is 59 years old. I thought it would be fun to post one of the first “What If They Grew A Steesh” posting we ever had, from May 2008. I would update the bad MS paint job mustache, but I don’t care for Oprah.

One time she made a point to say she went to a book store because, as she put it, “I buy my own books.” It still makes me angry to think about her saying that. How distanced from reality does someone have to be to think that anyone would be impressed by another person going to a book store and buying her own book. NO ONE GIVES A SHIT, OPRAH!

I’d wish her a horrible birthday, but she’s rich and will probably be eating her favorite meal with an amazing cake. What else could you really want on your birthday?

This Son Of A Bitch Is Ice Cold

Jeremiah Birkett Mustache Seinfeld Jean Paul

Jeremiah Birkett appeared as Jean Paul on Seinfeld. Jean Paul was a visiting marathon runner who once slept through his alarm to miss the Olympics. Here’s a clip of some of his scenes. I prefer the ones after George teaches him to swear like a Texan.

Things Tobias Says

Things Tobias Says

I don’t know where this came from. I saved it on my computer and forgot to have a source, but it most likely came from the internet.

Guy N. Cognito – Homer Simpson’s Doppelgänger

Homer Simpson Mustache

Guy N. Cognito is Homer’s look-a-like who unfortunately enters Moe’s just as Homer has been kicked out. Moe beats him unconscious and tosses him to the street:

Homer: Oh, my God, this man is my exact double!
Homer: That dog has a fluffy tail!
Homer: Come here, fluff!

Eliza Coupe – Steeshy Endings

Eliza Coupe Mustache Gallagher

Eliza Coupe plays Jane on the very funny ABC comedy Happy Endings. Here she is dressed as Gallagher, marking his second appearance on steeshes.com in parody form but zero times as himself or his brother.

Dave Foley – Steeshes In The Hall

"Freedom Writers" Los Angeles Premiere

I’ve been getting a lot of complaints lately that we are ignoring some people who fit in our key demographics – Canadians and fans of Blast from the Past. In order to satisfy both of those groups, here is Dave Foley.

Dave was a member of Kids in the Hall, the Canadian sketch comedy show. He was also on News Radio, a series that I once purchased in its entirety at Best Buy, only to sell a few years later for more than I paid for it. Thanks, Dave!

It’s also Dave’s birthday today. Happy birthday, Dave. We love you very, very, very, very, very, very, very much.

Chappelle’s Steesh – Prince

Dave Chappelle Prince

I know this picture is going to start a heated debate among our many loyal readers because on his right side it looks like Prince (Dave Chappelle) has a goatee, but on his left side it looks like a mustache. People, this is why we have a comment section. Please use it!!!

Ron MacFarlane, Father of Seth, Haver of Mustache

Ron MacFarlane Mustache

I’d have to imagine that the father of Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, has a pretty good sense of humor. If Ron MacFarlane’s mustache is any indication, he has a great big fluffy sense of humor.

Seth MacFarlane tweeted today that his father has joined twitter (follow him for some strange reason @DadMacFarlane). My dad will never join twitter because “what’s the internet?”, but he’d be good at it because he doesn’t like leaving his house and he hates a lot of things.
